DESCRIPTION
Pre-requisites:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Previous Pool Management experience preferred.
- Must maintain Lifeguard certification throughout employment
- Must maintain Certified Pool Operator’s certificate throughout employment
Duties include:
- Establish and maintain procedures that ensure the safe, clean and economical
operation of the pool facility.
- Primarily responsible for all operational aspects of the pool facility including the
opening of the pool in May and the closing of the pool in September.
- Responsible for supervision and management of the guards and assistant managers
including but not limited to the following:
- Interview prospective guards and assistant managers as needed.
- Provide hands on training of equipment (ex: backboard, rescue torpedo, etc.)
- Provide training for guards and assistant managers in order to complete their
daily job duties. This includes pre and post season cleaning and training
days as agreed upon by management and the Board of Trustees.
- Create and enforce the work schedule.
- Complete annual reviews of guards and assistance managers.
- Work directly with Social Committee and YMSC staff in coordinating all social
functions. Attendance is mandatory throughout the weekend for opening (Memorial
Day) and closing (Labor Day) weekends.
- File accident reports and provide a copy to the Board of Trustees.
- Provide a manager’s report for the monthly Board of Trustees meetings via advanced
written notice to the secretary or in person at the meeting.
- Perform any other duties as agreed upon with the Board of Trustees.
